The role
Job title: Vice President Sales - Eastern Region
Location: Central or Eastern USA
The brief
Kryon tasked Luumin to proactively search for a Vice President Sales for the Eastern USA region. Our extensive knowledge of the US market, coupled with our expertise in RPA resulted in Luumin being tasked to conduct this crucial and senior search.
This person would be responsible for managing the Eastern US team and territory, tasked with significantly ramping up and driving the Kryon company growth ambitions across the Eastern region.
Culturally, this person needed to fit in with an international, matrix-led organisation and be used to being autonomous and accountable for themselves and their team. We were looking for a dynamic individual who had a strong academic background and a proven track record in scaling ambitious and entrepreneurial businesses.
The results
Having built our network in the RPA space over the last few years, we had a strong network to start with to gain recommendations. We then put together a target list focusing on Directors and Vice Presidents within the RPA and AI companies working to a criteria of looking for those high caliber and high achievers in each company.
One challenge was to find people at the right level where leadership and management experience mattered as much as acumen to carry a personal quota. We were looking for those that displayed strong commercial awareness, a strong leadership style and the desire to build their careers with a market leader.
In our initial approach, we spoke to a large volume of people, on more detailed telephone interviews we were able to identify those that we wanted to interview face-to-face.
A strong shortlist of 4 candidates was submitted. All 4 candidates had different backgrounds but shared a common theme that they would be able to assimilate into the unique organisational culture of our client.
All 4 candidates were selected to go forward onto the client’s selection process, which involved face-to-face interviewing, online assessments and psychological assessments.
All of our candidates fit the criteria of the role well and our client was excited by the quality of our shortlist.
After choosing the best candidate, Luumin were able to manage the offer process smoothly to ensure that we concluded the assignment successfully and both parties were left delighted by the process.
